Welcome to the homepage of our website!

We buy and sell English china from the 1920s and 30s and ship
worldwide from our base in London, UK.
You will find no porcelain
on this site we specialise in the quality earthenwares made by the
firms of
Booths and Wood & Sons.

We also carry a small stock of selected patterns by other well-known
makers such as:

Adams - Ashworth - Barker Bros
Cauldon - Coalport - Copeland/Spode
Crown Staffordshire - Doulton
Hancock
- Keeling & Co (Losol)

Sample images from each of these companies are shown below down the
left-hand side of the screen.
See also our Gaudy Willow page.

Please note we don't offer a valuation service.

BOOTHS

BOOTHS are of course famous for their much-collected Real Old Willow range, not to mention the highly sought-after Scale Blue items that are early 20th century reproductions of Worcester pottery.

WOODS

WOODS are linked with some of Britain's most famed pottery designers, such as Charlotte Rhead, her father Frederick Rhead (designer of the famous Yuan pattern), and Susie Cooper. We specialise in Frederick Rhead's tableware designs produced for Woods between 191230, as well as vases and other fancy items, some of which have the Bursley Ware mark

CAULDON

The china produced by the firms shown here is highly collectable - the antiques of the future.

Many of the patterns were handcoloured before the final firing, giving them an individuality completely missing from commercial china production today.

UPDATES

Although this site contains THOUSANDS of images of English 19th and 20th century china, it represents only a small fraction of our stock.

We do endeavour to update the inventory and photos on a regular basis, but some pages inevitably remain unchanged for many months.

For details of new items, always check the Latest Updates page.

VALUATIONS

We regret we DON'T provide a free valuation or information service.

The aim of this website is not just to sell our wares - we hope you will find it interesting and informative as well! For this reason, some of the items shown have already been sold. We thought you might just enjoy looking at them...

Whether you display them on your wall or use them on your table, we wish you many years of enjoyment from this beautiful English china.

Happy browsing!

COLLECTORS CORNER

Another way to browse the site. Our stock is listed on this page by item TYPE rather than by MAKER - useful if you collect eggcups or teapots, for instance.

Items are often listed here well in advance of their appearance on the main site.

The Collectors Corner page is in the process of being redesigned. This is a long process - please be patient!
